Hello, I have a system with a dual monitor setup(both monitors are the AL1916W running at 900p @ 75 Hertz, they're both connected through VGA)
but in games (opengl or directx(I have the issue on both Windows and Linux))
I can see the refresh rate, I can see it refreshing, just like an old CRT, but faster, and it gives me an headache.
My specs:
CPU: Ryzen 3 1200x
MOTHERBOARD: ASROCK B350 Pro4
GPU: r7 265 dual x and a radeon hd 4650 (both gpu's are running 1 screen)

I've tried removing the hd 4650 but it didn't make a difference, I also tried switching drivers in linux, I tried Windows 10 with only the r7 265 dual x, it makes no difference.
I have no idea what's causing this and would like to know a solution since this issue prevents me from playing games(especially FPS games).
I've also tried disconnecting 1 screen, changing the refresh rate and switching X server in linux, nothing had an effect.

Your issue is probably due to flicker. I've heard that sometimes giving the monitor better power (try a different outlet, or a UPS if you have one) can fix it but I have never seen it confirmed. Most of the time it is a problem with the hardware itself, so nothing you can solve with software. The only way to get rid of it would be a different/new monitor entirely. If you don't want to buy a new one, trying to find one used or free somewhere at a business or school can often get you a pretty decent one.

I tried that, didn't work. another screen has the same issue under Linux(so I presume it's the radeon drivers) but I bought a nvidia gtx 1050 now and I already own a gt710(both use the same drivers and I don't have that issue with those nvidia drivers, so we'll see), but switching power cable didn't work and weirdly my monitor works under Windows on my dad's pc(I connected it with the same cables, no issue) with the same gpu(took the gpu out of my system, placed it in his pc) so I'm unsure if it's really hardware or software, I'll post an update whenever the gtx 1050 arrives!
