can i SLI EVGA GTX 960 4GB SuperSC with PNY GTX 980?

No. For SLI the Gpu and vram have to be the same. You cannot sli a 960 and a 980.

No, you could use the GTX 980 as a main card then use the GTX 960 as a dedicated PhysX card but TBH its a waste on that 960 4gb.

Nope. Those have two completely different GPUs GM106 compared to GM104 (if I remember correctly).

SLI hasn't worked with differing amounts of vram for awhile. I've tested this with 770 cards and a 2gb card and 4gb card wont SLI.

It requires the same gpu model not just the same gpu family.

Huh that's funny because I could of swore I heard somebody say they ran a GTX 770 2GB and 4GB together and it ran fine huh.

I have heard it argued both ways and could never find a clear answer. Between me and a couple buddies we has access to 2 2gb cards and 2 4gbs cards and 2 system that both supported SLI, so I decided to test it. No combination of the 2gb and 4gb cards would work(sli option wasn't available). Were were able to use hyperSLI to force SLI but it ran horribly and wasn't exactly stable.

Interesting. I personally never got why you would do a 4GB plus 2GB SLI anyways since even if it worked, you could only use 2GB on the 4GB card.
