Budget ($1500 CA) I need a computer build that will run modern games at high settings such as GTA 5, Overwatch and Battlefield 4. I would like it to be as portable as possible without having to reduce motherboard size. I think solid state drives would be the most efficient option. The graphics card I would like to use is the GTX 1070. I already have a mouse, keyboard and monitor. (Also i don't know if this is a thing that can be changed, but it needs at least 4 or more usb ports.) I would appreciate anybody's help. Thanks.

"Does this case need mini ITX motherboard or a full ATX motherboard. I really like it."

Dangerous Dolphin,

It's a sweetie and a half > mini-ITX, with 2X USB 3.0 so one can run a flash drive with a 4-port hub on the other. What is really amazing about the case is the size- how did they do it?, but if you need PCIe slots, it will have to be a bigger format motherboard and less portable.

This is the perfect system to run off an M.2 NVMe- they're tiny, astoundingly fast, and the price is dropping daily. I put an AHCI Samsung SM951 in an HP z420 and the already excellent Intel 730 Passmark disk score of 4794 was changed to an amazing SM 951 score of 11599. The NVMe version might've made 13000+ . There's a new SM961...

Have to go with smaller motherboard for it to be portable unfortunately.

i went a bit over budget but i think its well worth it for the ssd and the case.
in my honest opinion a rx 480 would be enough but yeah we all got personal preferences:)

The other builds mentioned have very good points, although the budget might be considered to add an SSD for the OS/Prgrams. the prices are dropping rapidly.

It's another budget-breaker but for the case, consider:

LIAN LI PC-TU100B Black Aluminum Mini-ITX Tower Computer Case > CAD $150

It's got a handle,..

My father had a Roberts tape recorder from the 1960's that had a pair (L & R) of valve microphone and monitor amplifiers. It must have weighed 40 kilos but it had a handle and was therefore referred to as portable.

Cheers,

There's a new SM961 too -much faster- see the new review on this site.

I've checked Passmark and the best performance of an i5-6600K with the H110 chipset is:

GIGABYTE GA-H110N (rev. 1.0) LGA 1151 Intel H110 HDMI SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 Mini ITX Intel Motherboard > CAD $100

The CPU score is 8551 whereas the second place ASUS H1100M-A made 7990 and ASrock H110M scores 7505. I think the +$17 should be worthwhile for the Gigabyte. This has an M.2 socket and 2X USB 3 and 4X USB 2 on the back.

For the i5-6600K, Z170 is the clear winner and:

GIGABYTE GA-Z170N-WIFI (rev. 1.0) LGA 1151 Intel Z170 HDMI SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 Mini ITX Intel Motherboard > $170

- makes a CPU score of 10066 not overclocked- but proportionally cost quite a bit more.
