OK This may sound stupid but I would like to know more about some words and know what are they for exactly , what are they telling and so on...

Core Clock
Memory Clock
Shader Clock
CUDA Cores
Memory Detail
Memory Bit Width: For example what's the difference if it is 256bit or 768 Bit ?
Memory Speed: like in GTX590 it is 0.4ns
Memory Bandwidth
Texture Fill Rate

Have you ever heard of Wikipedia? All of this can be found on there. I suggest you look at the various articles in the wiki first, and if you have problems understanding certain parts of that then come here.

No one asked you to talk ...
So if someone just describe every of those things for me just in a line it is enough for me! I don't want long long descriptions. Or if there is a good website (such as Tom's Hardware) so I can read about those things then I would appreciate it if you give me a link.


Core Clock = frequency that the GPU runs at
Memory Clock = frequency that the memory runs at

Core clock - the speed that the GPU cores run at
Memory clock - the speed that the memory on the graphics card runs at
Shader clock - only on nVidia cards, its the speed that the shaders like the ROPs run at, AMD cards have the shaders in the core so shader clock and core clock are the same
CUDA core - a GPU core in a modern nVidia GPU
Memory detail isn't anything, not sure where you found taht
Memory bit width - the width of the memory bus connecting the memory on the card to the GPU
Memory speed isn't admitted to anywhere i have ever seen.
Memory bandwidth - Memory clock * Memory bit width * 2 or 4 (2 for GDDR3 and 4 for GDDR5)
Texture fill rate - determined by the shader clock and the number of ROPs or texture units depending on if you are looking at pixel fill rate or texture fill rate.


Wikipedia is actually one of the best ways to get less technical descriptions of technical terms like the ones you are asking questions about, its where i go for a quick reference because its quite accurate on technical topics regardless of what your librarian would like you to believe about its accuracy.

Now, if either of you call someone a bad name in the next week that i see you get to go on a 3 day break, now settle down.

There have been two studies that show the average wiki article is about as accurate as a encyclopedia. People have to site sources if they don't the info gets pulled when they do checks and usely decent people will notice and pull it out fast.
