test their hardware before you buy it? i want to buy a usb wifi adapter and want to make sure it works, before i buy it and take it home and realize it doesn't work and gotta go all the way back.

How do you propose to 'test it'. What works in the store may not work in your house.

But no, Fry's is just another store. You can't open the package and test before money changes hands.

i meant if the speeds are good using there wireless network and speeds are good and if they can test using their equipment etc...because if it works there then theres a way better chance it will work for me

Buy it (pay for it), bring it home, try it. If you don't like it, go back and exchange / return it. You won't be the first nor the last one doing that.

You certainly can. I just returned an SSD. I didn't use it, but I opened it. They never even really checked it.
