This has been happening for the past 4 weeks now and I'm not too sure why it started happening, but I've come up with a few th
eories of mine and was wondering if I could get some "professional" advice considering I'm not the brightest when it comes to tech.

In the imgur link you can see a LOT of lines on the screen, and the longer the screen is left on the more lines appear, then it just gets darker until you won't be able to see a thing.

What I have tried are:
  • Switching from using Display Port to HDMI, a few days later it happened again.
  • Switching to a DIFFERENT display port
  • Turning the monitor on and off (worked for the first time it happened)
  • Switching from DP display to HDMI so the screen would automatically detect that there is no HDMI and go back to DP (worked for the second time)
  • Rolling back my GPU drivers, for some reason it won't let me
  • Reinstalling the drivers from Nvidia Geforce Experience. Whats weird about this one is that after I do it the screen goes back to working fine every single time. But then a few days later it just happens again and now this method has become my "quick fix" for this problem.
I'm assuming it has to do with the newest Nvidia drivers? and maybe they might fix it in the future updates for the driver?
Because I really don't want to keep doing this "quick fix" and having to take the gamble of "is my monitor working?"
Sorry for the long post, first time posting here

I would recommend using a tool called DDU (this guy does an alright video on it:

) to completely remove your display drivers and nvidia software.

If you could also post a list of your system hardware that would be great.

Additionally, are there any other monitors/TVs you can plug in and test?
I don't have any other monitor/TV I could use.
But for my system hardware, its;
  • Ryzen 5 2600
  • Gigabyte B450 AORUS Elite AM4 Motherboard
  • 2 x G.Skill Trident Z 16GB 3200Mhz
  • Nvidia Geforce RTX 2070
  • Corsair VS550 PSU
