Can someone give me a rating on this processor?

I'm looking to get a AMD Phenom II X6 1075T 3.0GHz 6-Core Processor for my ASRock 970 Extreme3 ATX AM3+ Motherboard. Can I get a rating from you guys on this?

Well, the answer will depend on how much you are spending. I hope not too much, because the fx8320 is only 150, and the fx6300 only 120.

I haven't found a price I'm sticking to, but this is the CPU that I'm stuck on. Whats your opinion on it? Thanks in advance.

Since they are discontinued, they aren't that great of a value in my opinion. At the ~$160 price range there is a lot of competitive parts. If you must go AMD, the FX-8320 is in that ball park for about the same money.

If you already have the CPU, and the cost is zero, then it is a fine value

For gaming it'll be about equal to the fx6300 but behind the fx8320/fx8350. For multi-threaded tasks it'll beat the fx6300 and still lose to the fx8320/fx8350.

I see what you saying about the FX-8320 I'll take your word and look into it.

It's old. Stay away unless it's REALLY cheap. Even the $109 FX 6300 will be much better. The FX 8320 would be EVEN better.
