Can someone help me identify what HDD is compatible with this recording device

Hi

So basically I was hoping you could help me identify this recording device as the HDD has died inside and we need to replace it but we don't know what model it is also I have been told by the technician that the device may only usage a HDD of a certain size limit.

The device is used to record CCTV footage at the gallery into a HDD.

Any information would help.

Get any HDD labelled Surveillance HDD

Cant at the moment sorry, the technician that asked me to look it up is busy at the moment. Does anyone have any idea where I can find its specs online?

only one i can find called colossus 8 is by adata

says Support 4 IDE HDDs and each HDD can support 2000GB

Where can we purchase an IDE HDD that is 1TB+?

not too sure ide hard drives are getting harder to find--ebay most likely

but would depend what country you are in for places other than ebay

Samsung Seagate repaired hdd

So me and the technician opened up the DVR and it had 5 years of dust inside so we used an air can to get rid of it, it was horrible, its clean now.

We took out the HDD and it was Western Digital 500Gb Blue IDE HDD, we just need to find out if it will hold an 1TB. It can hold 2 HDD's inside but we only one HDD, we'd like to get a 1TB but we don't know if the motherboard or firmware would support it.

I will take a picture of the Motherboard later for you.
