Can someone help me tell if my PSU can run my system

Got my 7970 today wondering if this PSU can run my PC

Thermaltake 500W (two 12V rails 18A and 25A) yes it has the connectors needed

Amd fx8350 stock
Hsi 7970
2HDDs
2 case fans

HD7970 requires at least 40Amps, more if you overclock it

You can use a quality 550W, but this is pushing it a little too much for me - PSUs age and while there are some decent Thermaltake PSUs, there are also some very bad ones.
