Can someone identify what type of ethernet port this is?

Hello,

So I live in a relatively old building and have not been able to find any lan ports In the room I need one in. However I recently found one

(as seen in the picture linked) I am fairly certain this is a ethernet port however I am unsure what type it is as my eithernet cable does not fit in it. If someone can identity this specific type of eithernet I would be very greatfull.

To put it another way - this is not an Ethernet jack, and you can't use it for wired Ethernet. You can try using a pair of PowerLine adapters, or pulling an Ethernet cable thru walls / ceiling / around the house.
