Hi I have recently joined Toms hardware and am thinking of building a computer this is my first time so i don't really know what works but these are the parts I've picked out

http://www.newegg.ca/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813130236 <- the motherboard

http://www.newegg.ca/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16819103696 <- CPU

http://www.newegg.ca/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814121308 <- video card

http://www.newegg.ca/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820145263 <- RAM

http://www.newegg.ca/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16822136320 <- hard drive

http://www.newegg.ca/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817371022 <- PSU

http://www.newegg.ca/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16827129049 <- dvd/cd reader burner

http://www.newegg.ca/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811119160 <- the case

I would really like to be able to play the latest games
upgradability is another issue i want to be able to upgrade as I go
I have a budget of about $1500 although this rig comes to $1151.42

so if you guys have any comments or advice for me that would be great

Considering you have leftover budget consider swapping the AMD Phenom II X4 945 Deneb for a core i5 750 or 860.
Also i would suggest Seagete fo HDD whichever you like.
The rest seems pretty nice. :)

This is just my personal opinion ( i would do that if i had the cache)

Yeah andi h ave to go with the Asus proposal. I have been using asus MB for nearly a decade now and they are always flawless for me.
