I just bought this 2x16 Corsair 3200 vengeance ram 16-18-18-36 thinking it being from Corsair and being Samsung b-die which I have always heard is the best memory die. It would be good. I installed it in my system and ran the XMP profile and it loaded with no problem. I went in to the timings changed the one timing trcdrd to 17 it posted went into memtest started the test automatically got a error. Reloaded my xmp started over this time I changed the trcdwr to 17 rebooted and ran memtest again same thing error from the first tick of the test. I tried 1.35v and 1.36v but figured for such small change a big change in voltage shouldn't be needed ( I may be wrong )Also I ran memtest before I started tightening the timings after loading xmp and no errors. So i gave up and started doing what I'm doing now looking for answers. Does anyone have any advice. I tried changing a few timings thinking it may a hangup of just changing one timing at a time but same thing. If you need anymore information I'll gladly supply it. Before I bought this ram I had Team Nighthawk 2x8 3200 cl16 overclocked to 3600 16-18-18-21 1.36v on the same board. Which for Hynix cjr I think is pretty good. Out of the box with xmp loaded was 16-18-18-38 3200 1.35v. If I hadn't had success with the other RAM I would probably blame it on the board and move on. I have to say though for a budget board with a clunky bios it has really been a good board. Here is my system:
System:
Ryzen 9 3900x
Asrock b450m pro 4 bios p3.90 (have gigabyte aorus elite wifi x570 on the way)
2x16 Corsair 3200 vengeance 16-18-18-36
FSP Hyper +85 650 watt (have Thermaltake Toughpower Grand RGB 850W 80+ Gold on the way )
Corsair Hydro series pump cpu block and cooling loop w/2x 360mm rads and 13 fans (so she stays cool)
Gigabyte Aorus rtx 2080 super
Thermaltale view 71 case
just wonder should I send the ram back while I can or wait for the new mobo and psu and see if it gets better? I do a lot of editing and speed for me is a must. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance for any help. I added some screenshots and one with the timings I wished I could hit.
