Alright I'm really confused
So many people have told me so many different thing I just want a straight answer

for playing games such as: battlefield 4, arma 3, blacklight retribution, planetside 2, watch dogs, and dayz standalone, which gfx is better? gtx 650ti or radeon 7850. Before anyone else says it I'll be very clear, when playing planetside 2 I don't care in the slightest about the nvidia physx graphical effects, so if someone can tell me which card will give me better fps that would be great.

Solution
You have to realize that these forums are crawling with AMD fanboys willing to say anything regardless of what the benchmarks say. Check out some benchmarks and come to your own conclusions. I already gave you the full honest truth in your other thread and you've seen the chart showing the GTX 650 Ti Boost is slightly faster than a 7850.

By the way, you need to be clear that you mean the BOOST version of the GTX 650 Ti.

The other piece is, really, there is no one blanket statement that Card A is always faster than Card B. But when you look at your specific gaming list, there are several games that clearly and significantly favor Nvidia cards: Planetside 2, Watch Dogs, ARMA 3, and then BF3 is an Nvidia-favoring title, so I...

Well I'll most likely be playing at something like 1366x768 or 1280x1024 and not 1080p
but thank you, I'm glad I finally know which is best

So here it is again; TechPowerUp is one of the top three review sites on the web, they are the inventors of the popular video card utility GPU-Z, they use 18 benchmarks, more than any other review site, and they test all their cards on the exact same system with the latest drivers. The chart below is from their latest review with the most up to date games and drivers. Here is also a link where you can go through the benchmarks and compare the GTX 650 Ti Boost vs. the 7850:

Solution
The 7850 overclocked would do you great.

As for BF4 well until it comes out and we can bench it no one can really say what the hardware requirements are going to be. So I would not worry to much about the games that are not out yet. It may be that we all will have to upgrade to play that game or not it is hard to say.

But my thought are to buy hardware for what is out now instead of guessing what may come later most times it is wrong/not needed in the end.

Well I'd have to say that I'm not a fanboy, and I'd also have to say that OP is asking for 650 Ti or 7850. When you throw another card in the mix, you can prove whatever you want.

The 7850 reigns surpreme over the 650 Ti, regardless.

Words can't describe how much of a noob I feel like right now, I had no idea there was a different edition of the 650ti called the boost edition, that clears up a whole lot, but right now I'm not sure which card I'll get, you seem pretty confident the nvidia card is better and judging by the benchmarks, I'm pretty keen to believe you, but right now there's a deal at newegg where if I get the radeon card I'l get two free game coupons which I can use to preorder bf4, however in november when I buy my card if that offer isn't going on anymore I'll seriously consider the nvidia card, but until then I'm not sure what I'll get. And by the way, I didn't mean to ignore your post in the last thread I just wanted to see what other people think as I was getting very mixed opinions in the previous post.

Okay, cool, I knew from your other thread that you meant the "Boost" model. By November, the world of video cards could be turned upside down with the release of the AMD R9-200 series (the new naming scheme for the HD9000) and some of these new games should be out by then. So by that time, prices will be different, game bundles will change, and you'll have a better idea of how your different options perform in the upcoming games. I'm starting to get pretty excited about Watch Dogs myself.
