please let me know if there are some recommended changes, also do I need to buy special tools for assembly or can I use my regular electrician screwdrivers. Do I need a sound card if I want to connect some speakers to my pc?

thank you in advance

Solution
I honestly think you'd be fine with the 8c/16t ryxen 3700x but if you have the budget for the 3900 then fair play.

The issue?
You really do need aftermarket cooling with either of those 2 cpu's, the constant up and down ramping of the amd stock cooler at low loads will drive you insane after a while.

I juggles things round here to keep a similar budget.

You're losing nothing with the auros pro b550 board, it actually has a better vrm setup and audio than the asus you picked.

That 2060 is in no mans land, too expensive for what it is, the 5600xt matches or beats a 2060 super (let alone the 2060) in just about every scenario.

You definitely want an optical drive still??
Nothing wrong with the enthoo pro you picked however I would...

What's your primary use for this pc.

I'd argue its imbalanced with a 3900x and a 2060 non super if gaming is a priority.

The 3900x is overkill for gaming and the 2060 non super will disappoint.

You mean mains powered speakers?
No you don't need a soundcard for those.

You have a wired ethernet card in there too.
The board already has gigabit ethernet, and dual band WiFi, you don't need that at all.

if u want buy and use studio monitors best choice is buy external sound card. if u dont need monitors u can use sound card from board...what cooling system u planing?air or liquid? i think u can buy better pc case and why u need dvd-rw in case ?u can buy external dvd-rw

video and audio editing are primary use, I just don't want to have a pc that cant compete 5 years down the road. what would be your recommended changes. i was thinking of regular pc speakers with a subwoofer

Nothing wrong with the enthoo pro you picked however I would scout around for a fractal design r6 if possible.
Supports an optical and while the cooling may not quite be upto what the enthoo offers the fractal is virtually silent under any kind of use.
If its being used in your living space then this will be a big plus (in the same position myself, I would use the define series every single time).

Rmx is better tha the Rm simply.
650w is more than enough and it's $10 cheaper.

The r6 is less than $200 from Canada computers and mimes computer shop, it doesn't show on partpicker though.

Also bear in mind the new nvidia rtx 3*** cards are due very soon, they may be a better choice depending on price and availability.

thank you madmatt30
i actually like the changes you have made, the optical drive i do want to keep since my wife has a lot of dvds that she wants to use still and i dont like those external drives flying around, do i need to install extra fans into the case for airflow? as for nvidia rtx3 i dont think they would fall into my budget for a graphics card. i dont want to spend more then 500 on a video card. does the thermal compound come with the cooler or do i need to purchase that extra

also there are some compatibility notes there would this be a problem for me?
  • Fractal Design Define R6 USB-C Blackout ATX Mid Tower Case has a front panel USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type C port, but the Gigabyte B550 AORUS PRO AC ATX AM4 Motherboard does not have sufficient USB 3.2 Gen 2 or Gen 1 headers. The case USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type C port will not be usable.
  • Note:The Thermalright Macho Rev.B 73.6 CFM CPU Cooler may require a separately available mounting adapter to fit the Gigabyte B550 AORUS PRO AC ATX AM4 Motherboard.

Was under the pression the macho should come with an am4 bracket but you may be right. That creates hassle sourcing it seperately.

Swap out for the dark rock 4

https://ca.pcpartpicker.com/product/FRYLrH/be-quiet-dark-rock-4-cpu-cooler-bk021

The case Compatibility notice - just means there's a small USB c socket on the case that wouldn't be connected, you would have 2 x USB 3 and 2 x USB 2 working on the case front, and it's has numerous USB sockets on the back including a USB c port.

It wouldn't matter to me personally as I have virtually nothing that requires a usb-c connector.

And no you don't need thermal compound or extra case fans imo, the cooling on the r6 is good enough as standard.
