I'm referring to the white and orange wire im holding in the picture. It has a square tip with a small rectangular peg on it that has the letter T on it.
It sounds like a temperature sensor, so an integrated fan controller can set the fan speed based on air temp. Probably stick it near the CPU socket, or something.

Fallen out of place from where? There is no place for that to go. The reset and power switch that goes to the MOBO are already installed in there place and they have (-) and (+)'s. This doesn't have anything just a T and there is no place on the MOBO for it.
No, I think he's saying from the front of the case - the actual button, not the plugs. If you push on the black bit, does it go in and make a click sound?

Oh ok. Yes. I think you guys are correct. It does push in and out like a switch/button. I did take the front panel off to add a front fan. It may have come off then. The only problem is I don't know exactly from where.
