Can someone write or send me a link of comparison between Radeon HD series with R7 and R9 series GPU from AMD?

I get so confused when i see a new game coming out and it says something like it requires a Radeon HD 7870 or better and i have no idea what the Radeon HD 7870 is comparable to in the R7 or R9 series of GPU's. I would really appreciate it if someone could write down or send me a picture/link of both HD series and R7, R9 series GPU side by side so i can have an idea to what to look for and such. No i did not mean i wanted to be comparing any GPU what i am trying to say is that AMD re branded their GPU and changed their names to the R7 and R9 series and i was wanting to know for example what was the R9 290 called before they changed it to R9 290 wasn't it called HD 8750 or something? I was wanting to know what each R7 and R9 card was named before AMD changed all of their names to the R7 and R9 series. What was their Radeon HD names before the change?
