Hello, I already have a 1TB hardrive with Steam installed, and I'm thinking about adding another 1TB hardrive. I did some browsing on the internet (looking at steam support pages and posts on other sites) and I'm confused over how my Steam games and the Steam app would function if games are installed on 2 different hardrives. Is it possible? What would be required? And most importantly would games on the first drive still be playable and able to still be automatically updated by the steam client?

Yes, you can split your game library across an unlimited amount of drives. As long as you identify all drive/locations where games are installed, it will remember which game is where (you make the selection at the beginning of each game install where to install if there are multiple choices).

In the Steam client, open the settings, and under the "Downloads" section click the "Steam Library Folders" button. From here you can add a new folder on a new hard drive. When you are installing a new game, just select the new folder. This wont affect your old folder (you can still install and play the games from there if you want to).
