Good day!
I recently built a new rig. Goes something like this:
i7 4790k
Sapphire R9 290 Tri-X OC
HyperX 2x4GB 1600mhz CL9 RAM
Super Flower 650W PSU
Gigabyte Z97-D3H Mobo
During my initial in-game testing I stumbled upon two graphical errors:
Crysis 3 - Flickering Shadow on rock texture.
Saints Row 3 - A specific window texture flickers (Shadow overlapping with the texture) as I pan the camera.
Both of these are subtle, not game breaking and not particularly bothersome. But I never experienced them on my previous PC (HD5870) and I'm a bit paranoid regarding my new build.
I have not found these specific issues reported elsewhere on the internet (though I assume these could be game-specific bugs and nothing more).
I had the idea of switching to the Intel HD4600 integrated GPU and was able to find the Saints Row 3 glitch, but not the Crysis 3 one.
Question: Can odd graphical glitches like this be caused by any other hardware component?
Thanks in advance!
