The description probably does my question justice, though I'll reiterate and add more info to help you guys along.

I currently own the Asus Q501LA-BBI5T03, which has the Core i5-4200u, Intel HD 4400 Integrated Graphics, is running Windows 8.1, and the video output is HDMI 1.4 (Possibily 1.4a but I don't remember) What I was wondering, is if this would allow me to push 1440p, specifially to the ASUS PB278Q.

Now before you start crawling all over me about how this won't get great framerates or anything like that, please understand that this monitors main purpose isn't for gaming, I will be using it for sketching/animation, light video editing and photoshop, then some gaming everyonce in a while, though while gaming I'll run it at 720p, which will provide much smoother framerates than the 1080p I have to run at the moment right now, as 720p on a 1080p panel looks blurry.

Thanks in advance!
