Question Can the asus z390-p post without a GPU?

So I’m building this new setup and the pc is not posting anything and can’t even recognize any usb devices either. Is it because the z390 -p can’t post without a GPU or is my motherboard fried?

Specs:
CPU: intel i7-8400
MOBO: asus z390-p
PSU: power spec 550 watt 80 plus bronze

Do you mean i5-8400 ? It should display without GPU. and what RAM ?
At least CPU and RAM is attached to show post.
