I just dumped my old PowerPoint 2003 slide presentation into the newer version that has the built-in text-to-speech.

Yipee! I can highlight text and it works in reading the text I select. However, the default female British voice I selected as default is not coming through, instead it's the American David voice.

My intent is to save the presentation with this TTS feature so that anybody who views can hear the TTS voice/audio narration as they manually click the slides.

Any help is greatly appreciated!

Voice Selection:

What could be tricky and what I am not sure of (full disclosure) is how editable the current software presentation may really be with respect to the time that has passed and the changes in voice technology and powerpoint options.

Maybe some related .ini or .txt file associated with the presentation where you could edit something like

Narrator = David to Narrator = Susan etc.

Try saving the presentation with Susan as Narrator.

(Just give the saved presentation a different name so the original presentation will not be affected. Be careful not to overwrite the original. Do all testing on copies.)

E.g., Current Presentation File Name-Speaker_Susan with the underlined portion being appended.

Copy "Susan's" presentation to the flash drive and test accordingly.
