I'm very interested with getting the a GeForce GTX 1080 ti and I was trying to do some research and see if I could find the answer to my question but because it hasnt been released yet I couldnt find any answers so now im asking here. I was wondering if it would be compatible with the stuff I have now or would I have to upgrade more stuff along with it.
My current specs:
CPU: Intel (R) Pentium (R) CPU G3240
Graphic card: Intel HD Graphics
Ram: 4GB

Solution
will you have the appropriate slot - Yes!
will you have enough power - Maybe
will it physically fit in your case - don't know (But they'll be a version that does)
will your CPU be strong enough - probably, depends on the game

If it physically fits, and you have the PSU that will cope then i'd say do it.

bottleneck means that your CPU will limit your gpu to use its full power. your GPU will process the onformation which you CPU sends to it, if your CPU is unable to give your GPU enough information then it's called bottleneck. your GPU will not have enough information to process resulting minimal FPS, lags and other issues in gameplay.
