I have an HP Pavilion Desktop 510-p007l, which features a Pentium G4400T and uses the HP Hamar motherboard. I have a spare i3-7100 (my friend gifted me on my birthday) and I would like to use it as a CPU upgrade for my system. But when I saw the HP webpage of the motherboard they says that the motherboard CPU can only be upgraded to some several Skylake T-series CPUs (the link is here https://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c05066299) (pretty rare to find a T-series skylake CPU nowadays). Both the i3-7100 and the HP Hamar uses the LGA1151 socket and ive updated the motherboard to its latest version. So can i actually upgrade the cpu to the i3 as i can't find a Skylake T-series CPU available in my country and also i cant afford a new pc either
