Question Can the Lenovo Legion 5i handle 32GB DDR4 RAM?

Hi everyone,

I recently purchased a Lenovo Legion 5 gaming laptop (model number 17ITH6H or 82JM0039UK) from Costco UK (here https://www.costco.co.uk/Computers/...60-173-Inch-Gaming-Laptop-82JM0039UK/p/391053). The laptop came with 8GB of DDR4 RAM, but I want to upgrade it to 32GB (2x16GB sticks). I've already purchased the RAM sticks from Amazon UK.

However, I've come across conflicting information about the maximum RAM capacity supported by the laptop. Some sources say it's 16GB, while others say it's higher. Here are two links that indicate the max capacity is 16GB:

The pro model of you laptop can handle 32gb, the normal Legion 5i however can only handle 16 from what I am finding so if you have the pro model yes you can use 32 gb if not then no from what I'm finding only 16gb

Thanks, appreciate your looking into this too. May I ask - what is the technical limitation stopping the laptop from benefitting from 2x16gb sticks?

It's just what the company has decided to cap the system at the cpu my not be able to handle more the 16gb of RAM properly
