I have a question: I was considering a Surface Pro 2-in-1 detachable laptop but found the ROG Z13 too expensive. Recently, I managed to purchase a OneXPlayer X1 (Intel i7-155H, 32GB RAM, 2TB storage) for just $235 on craigslist. The low price was because the seller wasn't knowledgeable enough to perform a fresh Windows installation due to a bootloop issue. What do you guys think? I plan to use it for content creation, digital art, and productivity device has no issues after fresh install.

I won't be using this for gaming due to owning ROG Ally.. Programs going to be Microsoft office suite, adobe illustrator, fresco, clip studio pro, krita, photoshop and other digital art / video editing programs.

Hello,

Specs: The Intel i7-155H, 32GB RAM, and 2TB storage are excellent for the software you'll be using. These programs (especially Illustrator, Photoshop, and video editing software) require significant processing power, and the OneXPlayer should handle them well.

Portability: Since it's a 2-in-1 detachable laptop, it gives you flexibility, especially when you're on the go. The form factor is great for digital art and content creation when using the device in tablet mode.

Fresh Installation: It's good that you've already resolved the bootloop issue with a fresh install of Windows. This is a critical step to ensure the system runs optimally. Make sure to check for drivers and updates (especially graphics drivers, as they play a significant role in content creation tasks).

Battery Life: As with many powerful laptops, the OneXPlayer might not have the best battery life compared to more traditional laptops, so you may want to plan for charging or using an external battery pack when working away from home.

Screen Size & Resolution: Since you're using this for art and productivity, make sure the display size and resolution are comfortable for your needs. If you're okay with a smaller screen compared to the Surface Pro, this shouldn't be an issue, but if you need more screen real estate, consider how you'll manage with the smaller size.

Performance in Non-Gaming Tasks: While you mentioned not using this for gaming (since you own an ROG Ally), the hardware in this device should still be more than adequate for the programs you plan to run. Just make sure the integrated graphics or any dedicated GPU options available are suitable for your use case in Adobe programs and video editing.

Best Regards
