Hey there!
Unfortunately my PSU(Seasonic Prime Ultra 650 Gold) doesn't have an additional 4+4 pin CPU connector.
I'm currently using my mobo with just the 8 pin plugged, which for my currenct CPU(i5 12400f) is just fine, but I'm planning on upgrading and I'd like to have the additional 4 pin CPU plugged in as well.
My question is, could I use one of the PCI-E 8 pin connectors instead of the current 4x4 that's plugged powers the CPU and just connect one of the two 4 pins in the other one?
I wouldn't want to upgrade my PSU as well, since the new CPUs cost a fortune around here, if this is a possible method.
The motherboard is an ASUS TUF B660M PLUS D4.
Thanks in advance for every answer!
Regards,
Richard
