Can the PH-TC12DX cool a I7-8700k properly?

A friend of mine told me it should be fine, but I've never used air cooling so I wanted to get some additional insight. PS I don't plan on overclocking.

Without overclocking it will work just fine you could probably get a mild overclock with it.
