can the spec slie?

im looking at this biostar 520 mobo an its says the lan speed is 10/100/1000 on the specs

however, on the nvidia site it says that 520s ony go uo to 10/100

what gives?

on a side note, it seems the only diff between the chipsets is the features, wil they all work at the same speed?

The onboard LAN seems to be covered by a different chip and looks to support 1000Mbps LAN.

if i'm correct, it appears that the newegg product you're linking is using a Realtec LAN chip to provide gigabit networking instead of the chipset's built-in nvidia 100mbit interface. i could be wrong, but that seems to be the difference to me.

also, i noticed that the only difference between the 560 and the 500 is that the 560 has 19 lanes (whatever they are) and the 500 has 20. also, the 560 has NVIDIA FirstPacket™ technology. is there some intrinsic and obvious difference i am missing?

if someone could point to an article explaining all this mumbo jumbo, that would be awesome
