Can the XFX TS 550w power my system?

I plan on buying a gigabyte 270 OC. I will build a computer will 2 4gb ram modules, 1 7200rpm hdd, and an FX 6300. Is the TS 550w enough?

I believe 550W will be fine. To get a good estimate of your power usage enter your parts on pcpartpicker.com. It gives a good wattage used estimate.

It will be more than enough, with ample headroom (you will be using 350W max under full load). This is an excellent quality PSU, get it.

Thanks for the replies guys. I read a shady review of a 270 which claimed it used 270w under load. Thanks for the clarification

They most likely measured the entire system, not only the card. This card uses approximately 150W, give or take 20.
