Can thermal paste move under heat?

So I have applied a little too much on one side of my cpu and it is on the edge on the left I don't know if you know what that looks like, but I have a 6600k and it has sort of a hill going down on both left and right sides I am afraid if the thermal paste would move it would actually drip down on to the cpu itself.it won't do that right, should I reapply it?

You should never take risks when it comes to computer hardware and yes thermal paste does spread under heat, Although I am not sure that it will damage anything I think you should reapply it just in case man.
