Can this cpu cooler: (depth = 159 mm)

fit into this case? (depth = 191 mm)

I'm building a new system to replace my 7 years old PC. I've all the specs in my mind.

Only 2 things left is the case and the cpu cooler. I'm going to order the above two. Anyone know if SpinQ VT fits in V9 case?

Thank you in advance. =)

P.S. If not, please feel free to recommend a cpu cooler + case combination. My criteria is:

- The case should have power supply dust filter. (the V9 has it)
- The cpu cooler should be quiet. The mediocre performance is fine.
- Budget: $200 for case & cpu cooler combined.

Solution
The cpu heatsink will not fit in the case.

The Thermaltake V9 case is 7.52 inches wide.

The Thermaltake SpinQ VT is a tower style cpue hatsink that 159mm tall.

Those tall tower style cpu heatsinks require a pc case that is at least 8 inches (204mm) wide and a case that is at least 8.5 inches wide if there is a case fan mounted on the side panel..

Have a look at the Lian Li / Lancool Dragon Lord cases. Th cases meets your requirements. They come in a variety of configurations and prices. Ventilation, airflow, cooling, fan noise, space, and cable management are excellent.

mwave.com has the lowest prices in the USA:

Here is a link to a very good web site with more useful information about cpu heatsinks that will help you make an informed decision:

You can use the Google embedded search feature at the web site to find more information about heatsinks for specific cpu sockets.

Personally, I'd recommend the Coolermaster Hyper 212+ cpu heatsink. It is much better than mediocre and represents a good value. If you shop carefully you can sometimes find it onsale for $29.99 in the USA.
