Hi guys,
hajimemashite.

I have a mITX rig and recently, when I play Dota 2 I get a lot of stuttering and hanging from my rig. Sometimes the characters will be moving in the same spot, and sometime the whole screen will freeze for a while and when it resumes, everything is time-traveled forward. It was quite cheaply built, but I thought it was good enough for a game like Dota 2.

Below are the parts:

  • Mobo * FM2-A75IA-E53
    APU * A4 5300
    Cooler * Xigmatek Praeton
    GPU * Sapphire HD 5750 1GB GDDR5 Vapor-X
    RAM * 2x4GB DDR3 1600MHz G-skill
    PSU * 480W Aerocool
    Case * Jonsbo v3+

Is it because of my specs or is it that the casing is too small causing too much heat which affects the performance? Or is it that my internet connection is not good enough?

Solution
Your components should be good enough to play DOTA 2 on high settings in 1080p.
As for the problem that is occuring, you should try playing other games and see if your PC is behaving as it should.
Test your internet speed and ping in http://www.speedtest.net/. Usually, online games don't use much bandwidth so anything above 1Mbps should be fine.

Yes, I suspected that it is the case. I connect to the internet using home plugs, and the home plug for the rig is plugged onto an multi-plug extension. I know the signal is greatly affected, but I don't have enough sockets to dedicate one for the homeplug. Do you think that is a possible problem?
