Can this build run newer games on high graphic settings?

Is this good for the current gen games, and will it be able to play future next gen games? This is my first time building my own PC, so im just looking for all the help i can get.

i5-4670k. 4th Generation model. It's faster than the i5-3570k in stock. Also, you need a different motherboard for this. 1150 socket.

Can you pick a motherboard for me? I don't really have much knowledge about it, so help with that too would be appreciated..

Btw i read somewhere that the i5 3570 is the best, if im not planning on OC? I'm not, so isnt that the best choice?

Look for a Z87 motherboard. Asus,GIGABYTE,MSI brands are most well known.
I have the MSI Z87 G45 GAMING motherboard.
