Recently, I temporarily used this (SG300-10P)POE switch for some wireless APs while waiting for another switch to be replaced. Like an idiot I plugged it into the wall instead of the UPS. Sure enough a nice lightning storm rolled through a couple of days later. I wasn't around when it happened, but a witness reported a bright flash from the com room before all the AP's cut out. Now when the switch is plugged in all of the port lights stay illuminated both amber and green. I opened it up to see what happened and notice some burn damage. I have attached pictures. My question is what would it take to fix this switch?

You probably know that it is the white smoke which makes our electronic devices working - once it gets out, it's over. Even if you manage to replace the components you see damaged, there's no guarantee there is no other damage - it might be even in the PCB traces you can't see. Moreover - would you risk your AP's life with POE supplied by that device?

Yes, it hurts. But there are relatively cheap used devices available.
