Can this CPU and GPU work together?

So I have a 240 psu which is really horrible. To add to that, the pc I have is a small form factor, so a new psu wont fit unless i put it outside that case, which would probably aggrivate me. I currently have a core 2 duo in there, and I would like to know if i can upgrade to a core 2 quad q9400 and put it with a GT 730 2gb LP. Im not that much of a gamer, but when i usually do, i dont play modern games (Doom 2, GMOD, Etc.). Can I run both of these together without the PSU blowing up on my face?

And for those who are wondering, the PC is a HP Compaq 6000 Pro SFF.

You can run any graphics card that will fit and that does not require a aux 6 pin pcie power connector.

GT730 should work.
Note that the 64 bit versions of the GT730 are more capable than the 128 bit versions.

Bump
