Hi all.

So I'm looking at the Dell XPS 13 Kaby Lake QHD+ with i7-7500U, 8GB RAM 256GB SSD.

Of course I want to make use of the screen, so how well can this handle 4k video playback? (Youtube, Netflix streaming etc.). I don't plan on editing 4k video or anything.

I've read the Kaby Lake processors are a big step up from Skylake?

Please help, sorry if this is a stupid questions!

Thanks!

Solution
Kaby Lake is a small step up from Skylake in overall performance. However, the integrated Intel HD 6xx graphics core in all Kaby Lake CPUs have dedicated circuitry to decode 4k videos which means it Kaby Lake CPUs can playback 4k videos much more fluidly than previous generation Intel CPUs.
