can this i3 6100 fit in z370 mobo??

So, my friend wants to make a gaming pc and his parents are only allowing to use best buy, so i see an i3 6100, the z370 motherboard socket type is lga 1151 just like the processor but i have no idea if the motherboard is only compatible with 8th gen.

Although technically the socket is the same it is NOT backwards compatible.

this mainboard is sadly only compatible wiht 8th gen Intel i-core CPUs.

you'd need a B150/250, H170/270 or Z170/Z270 board for that CPU to work
