At 1920X1080? ..... no it won't or it will but at about 8FPS. The Graphics card is not good enough. Think medium with some high (still looks awesome) if you want to keep your FPS in the upper 50's or above.

I have a Phenom II that I just added a GTX670 too that can do ultra (though not with full AA and remain over 60FPS) so if your after ultra your looking at getting a gtx580 or gtx670....... its knd of pointless in the end visually it looks the same as high.

Framerate would be close to 30 on 1920x1080, not 8 FPS.

The VE198T is capable of a 1440x900 resolution. Further disable MSAA, and decrease shadow quality. Now you have yourself a solid playable framerate.

Sorry but your utterly wrong about the 1080p there is no way at full ultra a 560ti holds 30FPS.... 8 may be a bit mean but its not going over 20.

Even at 1440x900 that card is not going to have solid framerates at full ultra. Remember you will find yourself doing better if you can stay at 60FPS+ so rather than try using full ultra and dipping low constantly you should play high/some medium and keep that golden frame rate

I never said solid framerates at ultra. I said solid playable framerates when decreasing quality. Playable is not the same as constant 60 FPS. With a 560 TI, you don't aim for 60 FPS in demanding games, but constant over 30. Which I think you can do at a low resolution without MSAA and lower shadow quality.

Perhaps 30 average FPS on full HD resolution is a bit generous, but definitely above 20.

According to benchmarks here, the GTX 560 TI is capable of 14 FPS @ 2560x1440, Ultra, 90 FOV. Further Guru3D suggests 28 FPS @ 1920x1200, Ultra. And even the Guru3D test is WAY above what I suggest playing with.

Oh and BTW, you have no ******* idea what you are talking about.

Title of Thread

Can this PC build run BF3 ultra?

I answered that

you defer with some balls about lowering settings the OP didnt ask about lowering settings he asked about ultra

More to the point if you suggest people that playing at 28FPS is ok your plain stupid/have no idea about FPS in FPS games.

*edit* as I know you are the kind to cry about being called out

He wouldn't play at 28 FPS because his screen has a lower resolution, so the framerate would obviously be higher. Still, I do not consider the game playable. Which is why I suggest further decreasing quality.
Just because he didn't ask for tips about adjusting the game so he can play it, does not mean it's not appreciated. You are just trying to forget the fact that you were horribly wrong thinking he would get 8 FPS.

It would not run noticeably better with an i5 2500K. I suggest you upgrade your GPU if you want more FPS.
