I have an offer for a used PC with below configuration
http://pcpartpicker.com/p/T2WrBm
The offerred PC is around $600 below pcpartpicker $.
Could this Rig run Witcher 3 and GTA 5 in Very High / Ultra settings?...I would appreciate if i can get an overall opinion from this forum regarding this Rig.

I am going to buy it only if i can get a decent FPS with this Setup for these games.

CPU: Yes that i7 is a beast.
GPU: Absolutely for 1 year possibly 2 running the newest and greatest games, and if it ever comes time to upgrade you can simply SLI.
MOBO: Hell ya, you have enough RAM slots and PCIe to have your own little server.

P.S. Is Iamsoda serious? It is hard to detect humor in text.

I totally messed that up. I was reading 2 posts at the same time and the other had this http://www.walmart.com/ip/iBUYPOWER-Gamer-WA563R7-Black-Desktop-PC-with-AMD-Six-Core-FX-6300-Vishera-Processor-8GB-Memory-1TB-Hard-Drive-and-Windows-8.1-Home-Premium-Monitor/35119953 on it.

I would say serious

A 4790k, 8gb ram and 980Ti or sli 980's would obliterate this in games and cost less even with $600 off

Btw the I7 5xxx is on the same level or just slightly worse for gaming then the 4xxx series (the 4xxx can be OC to 4.8 with ease). It really shines way better in video editing for rendering, but gaming the 4xxx is a couple fps better and a lot cheaper.

I agree the budget could be trimmed a lot still, but calling it junk wasn't what I meant. I was talking about the wrong pc. BUT YES! you can trim that budget if it is for gaming mostly. Like I said i7 5xxx isn't better for gaming at all (more like a couple fps worse or same).

Never said it was, I understand video games today can't take advantage of much more than 2 cores maybe 4. For the price he is getting it for, well it would be stupid not to buy it. Simply the GPU and CPU already cover the price. I would be honestly upset if someone didn't pick this up. With this you are future proof, and for spending $600 you won't be able to build a CPU that runs Witcher 3 on ultra.

He meant $600 off the current total.

Wow, read that wrong. How about a quick f word no! Sorry Iamsoda, I completely misread that. Used computers lose so much of their value and not to mention if there is a issue you are screwed. Personal opinion of mine, but I am with soda build your own. You don't need that MOBO or CPU. Also I prefer the 970 myself in comparison for bang for your buck on the 980.

Off that same budget, this will murder Witcher 3 ultra at at a never ever dropping 60fps and every thing else (I mean everything) at 144fps+ ultra. You can also get a 1440p monitor later if you want. http://pcpartpicker.com/p/NvCDdC Everything about this system I put up is better for the same price. 2xssd space plus faster ssd, 2x gtx 980, 144hz screen (I have that screen it is really nice color for TN), better PSU, and ram with lower latency.

Ok, I'll take the advice and drop that offer.
Say, Can u guys set me a rig with about $2,000. It should include a decent mid/full tower case, decent/budget gaming keyboard and mouse and a decent but not so awesome 144hz 1ms monitor. But emphasis more towards awesome CPU, GPU and RAM. Should be upgradable in future.
