Now I did run my R9 290 on this power supply ..... Shouldn't I be fine on this one ?

Technically since this unit has never been reviewed, there is no possible way to know. We don't know anything about its voltage regulation, its ripple and noise, how much current the internals can handle, when protections kick in, etc. However, if you did run a 290, the 380X should be fine on it.

[strike]Well it's so-so because of the capacitors, but can certainly handle your card, and is probably the best performing Raidmax I've seen to date. It actually performs decent.[/strike]

Edit: Wait, that's the 1000W unit, not yours. We have no idea how the 700W model performs.

If you already have it continue to use it. It's quality is basically unknown and there's no sense replacing it without knowing if it's good or not. The brand and model rarely come up around here so I don't expect any comprehensive review of it to happen. That being said, Raidmax does not generally make good power supplies. If you do have any problems, such as sudden shutdowns while gaming, come back here and get a recommendation from these forums before buying a new unit.
