Can this PSU handle a GTX 970?

I currently have an AMD 7600 cpu (I am upgrading it to a I3-6100)
Also have a GTX 950 (which I will return and purchase a GTX 970 for $40 more dollars)
My question is do I have to return my power supply, a thermal take TR2 600W and get a better one ? Or is this one okay.

Yes I would return the Thermaltake. It is not very reliable.

I don't know about the brand specifically.But as per your power consumption issue it will surely work.
The I3-6100 CPU will consume 95W to 125W and GTX 970 will consume 145W.

So the total minimum power required is 270 W.

Meanwhile the PSU you specified is enough for your build.

And for the brand I would like to recommend you to go with some popular and reliable brands.
