Can this RAM work properly with my current rig?

Greetings,

Here's my current relevant spec:
ASUS Sabertooth X58
http://www.asus.com/my/Motherboards/SABERTOOTH_X58/

Intel i7 950
http://ark.intel.com/products/37150/Intel-Core-i7-950-Processor-8M-Cache-3_06-GHz-4_80-GTs-Intel-QPI
Max Memory Size: 24 GB
Memory Types: DDR3-800/1066
# of Memory Channels: 3

Previously, due to budget concerns, I am using 2x4GB Kingston 1066, total 8 GB.
Today, I wish to upgrade the memory to 24 GB.
Since both my Motherboard and Processor supports Triple Channel memory, I am thinking of buying 3x Corsair Vengeance 8GB DDR3 1600:
http://www.corsair.com/en/vengeance-8gb-ddr3-memory-kit-cmz8gx3m1a1600c10

However, as you can see, the processor supports up to DDR3-1066 only, although the motherboard supports much more than that. I tried to find this RAM in the QVL of my motherboard but couldn't find it. I am worried that going triple channel with this RAM on my motherboard and processor will make my system unstable.

Anyone has any experience with the exact same setup?
What is your confident level that this triple memory will work on my MB and CPU setup? Perhaps XMP will help?

If this is not a safe thing to do, can you please recommend me other options instead?

Please advice, thank you.

You can get away with 8gb easily, you don't need that much of a ram (if you aren't an video or music editor).
It will just work fine, you can upgrade it, but your ram frequency is limited by the processor, so if you want a higher ram frequency i would advice you to uprgade your cpu, but you won't notice a bunch of diference with 1066mhz or with 1600mhz...

@Tradesman1

Thank you, that will save me the money and trouble.

But I really wish to upgrade to at least 16GB or more...I am running multiple games at the same time, plus browser with a lot of tab.
Example, playing FFXIV:ARR, while waiting for dungeon queue, will play Hearthstone at the side, and also opening forums to read latest updates, etc.
I am using SSD, so I disabled page file completely.

May I know the product name for that 6x4GB setup you mentioned?
May I know the bios setting to get it running well?

I can find this RAM in the QVL list, it's like, the ONLY 4GB-a-stick in the entire QVL for 1333MHz+
KVR1333D3N9/4G
http://www.kingston.com/datasheets/kvr1333d3n9_4g.pdf
Will 6 sticks like this work well with my setup?

Thanks, that's handy, but none of them are in the Memory QVL list for Sabertooth x58.
I am sorry I am new to this Memory <> Motherboard <> Memory thingy, I am afraid that if I deviate from the QVL, then it will be a huge waste of time and money if it doesn't work or if my system become unstable.

Is my worry warranted? How do we tell the boundary between "safe to use" and not, if we deviate from QVL?

One more question:
The KVR1333D3N9/4G is listed in the QVL, but it doesn't say how many I can fit.
How do I tell I can fit 6 of them without problem?

Legenda in Aeternum
The sets listed will all be fine, they are for the X58 moboos, on the Kingston stick you listed and talking of multiples, it's not a good idea to mix sticks like that, even being the same exact model # chances are good that a number of single sticks won't all play together. When you buy multiple sticks in a single package they are guaranteed to all play together. The manufacturers won't guarantee sticks from multiple packages
