Hi, I'm thinking of getting back into sim racing and was wandering if my current build can run triple 27'' 1080p monitors at 100Hz or more for titles like Assetto Corsa and Iracing
Gigabyte radeon R9 290x windforce
Intel i5-4690k
8GB Ram

Thanks for your reply. If I add another R9 290x would that do the trick. Though does that mean one card would be powering 2 monitors and the other powering one monitor.
Also do the 290x's have to be the exact same version as I've noticed their Mhz can vary.
Mines is a Gigabyte Windforce.

I am by no means an expert on crossfire, but I can tell you this: "it depends"
Crossfire means you leverage the gpu power of 2 gpus working together. This does not mean they power different monitors.
Problem is that your game needs to be optimized for it. And most games arent really. On top of that you get an insane powerdraw, fitting problems and general hiccups with getting it to work at all. And yes ideally you want to have 2 nearly identical cards.

If you can get a card really cheap and your game supports it...maybe.
Btw how much vram does your card have?
