Can this type of PCI slot be used to add internal storage to a laptop?

Hi.

I have a laptop with an available PCI slot.

Here is the information about the PCI slot as reported by the program Speccy:

Slot PCI
Slot Type PCI
Slot Usage Available
Data lanes x1
Slot Designation PCI Express Slot 3
Characteristics PME, Hot Plug
Slot Number 0

I asked about using this slot on another thread and I was told that this PCI slot is for a "wifi card or SD-card reader or additional USB port ETC."

So does this mean that I could open up the laptop and connect a storage device to this PCI slot either directly or with some kind of adapter?

If I opened up my laptop and there happened to not be enough room inside for a full sized SSD, would it be possible to add connect something like an SD card to the PCI slot and expand my laptop's storage that way?

Thank you.

Hi.

The laptop model is HP Envy 17-t S000

I can't find a good picture of the inside of the model, only one similar that does have an M.2 spot but since it is not the same model it may be completely different. (the HP Envy 17t-n100 supports NVMe, but as I said different model).

The pictures that I do find are very limited with no m.2 slot other than for the WiFi card, which would be M.2 A keyed.
