Can turning off interleaving cause loss of framing?

I've been having loss of framing at random times lately, internet come and go like crazy for 30mins-20mins,then comes back to normal,I called my ISP and they sent a guy who told me that my line is clean and it could be your router's fault.I have an old thomson tg585.Although,I have asked ,my isp to turn off interleaving a couple days ago and after 6 hours I started having those random loss of framing errors. So should I buy a new router?or is it interleaving?

My line stats:
Uptime: 0 days, 0:35:26

DSL Type: G.992.1 annex A

Bandwidth (Up/Down) [kbps/kbps]: 484 / 2.042

Data Transferred (Sent/Received) [kB/kB]: 0,00 / 0,00

Output Power (Up/Down) [dBm]: 12,0 / 17,5

Line Attenuation (Up/Down) [dB]: 18,0 / 32,0

SN Margin (Up/Down) [dB]: 26,0 / 12,5

Vendor ID (Local/Remote): TMMB / BDCM

Loss of Framing (Local/Remote): 0 / 0

Loss of Signal (Local/Remote): 0 / 0

Loss of Power (Local/Remote): 0 / 0

Loss of Link (Remote): 0

Error Seconds (Local/Remote): 4 / 0

FEC Errors (Up/Down): 0 / 0

CRC Errors (Up/Down): 0 / 4.666

HEC Errors (Up/Down): 0 / 227

Oh and sometimes i have sudden high errors but goes after few minutes.

EDIT:Just had a sudden loss of framing, not the usual crazy ones.

I know but are loss of framings got to do with CRC/HEC errors?

Well, either your line is clean, as the technician said, and your router is at fault, or the line is not clean and you were lied to. Routers do go bad over time, just like everything else. You might consider asking a tech or their customer service which router they install most often for their service in your area, as they usually stick with whatever has the least issues for their company, and then go with their recommendation. I think personally, I would consider getting a separate DSL modem from the router, so I could upgrade radio technology more often, but it may not make that much difference if routers with DSL modems in-built are in the same price range as higher end wireless routers.

If you haven't checked for any available firmware updates for your current equipment, I would try that first. Also, if you have performed any configuration yourself, perhaps a reset to factory settings as well.

Router is up-to-date.Just asked my ISP to turn on interleaving just in case it's causing the problem.

Interleaving isn't an option most customers of broadband should have to concern themselves with. If you weren't on Fastpath to begin with, it's probably for a good reason. Apparently without the extra layer of error correction, you can get packet loss up to 50%. Unless you specifically need the lower ping times, I would question your reasoning for wanting to turn off the error correction.

Also, in some cases, if the line is bad enough the system may automatically switch you back to interleaving anyway.

Depending on what the technician actually meant, your line could be marginal, but still qualify as what he is to inform you as being clean. DSL is finicky stuff, and I've seen cases where it just doesn't work at all and the Telco gave up trying to make it work.

Ugh,by default interleaving is turned on,I asked to turn it off for ping(Online gaming),surprisingly I got -40ms in average and everything was stable except of course for those random disconnections.Very rarely my line attenuation increases by 20db,my speed cuts to half and interleaving gets switched on and I receive lots of CRC/HEC errors(400k+ in 30mins),goes to normal after an hour or two.
