Can two different Nvidia Graphic Engines can be connected through SLI?

I am buying a new mobo, on which I I can buy an NVIDIA GTX TITAN and ASUS NVIDIA GeForce GTX 680. I heard that SAME cards can be connected through SLI or CROSSFIREX. Now can I connet a GTX TITAN and a GTX 680 by SLI?

Please Help.
~Thanks.

No, that's good. It prevents people from making a poor choice. Since SLI has every other frame rendered by each GPU, if one is faster than the other, they slow down the faster card. The alternative would result in a lot of frame time variance which is very unpleasant.

The drivers just won't allow it, period. Whether it could work on a technical doesn't matter, as the bottom line is it does not work.
