[SOLVED] Can u replace a coil on a gpu

hi i brought my gpu to a specialist and they said they could replace the coil to get rid of the coil whine. Is this true?

That depends on it's purpose. If you by "quality" mean the Q-factor of the coil, whilst keeping other properties unchanged - pretty unlikely as changing the properties of the core would alter other properties such as the current that will make it saturate. And today small components are probably pushed close to it's limits - and you may risk that the coil saturates and get hotter or that the GPU simply doesn't work.

Usually they can just coat the coil in something (maybe epoxy) to fix the issue.
