can u upgrade an amd processor 1 ghz to an intel pentium dual processor? My ASUS X401A was dropped, killed the hard drive and screen. I have a Toshiba Satelite C655 but the processor is only 1GHZ. Wante to know if I could use the Intel to upgrade the AMD?

No, AMD and Intel systems have not been socket compatible since they both move away fork Socket-7 format.

If your cpu is running at 1GHz, this will be an AMD C-Series C60/C70 and as good as it gets.
