[SOLVED] Can USB 3.2 Gen 2 header on a motherboard be connected to USB 3.2 Gen 1 on a case?

In addition, is an adapter needed? If an adapter is used, would this USB port act as Gen 2, or would it only work as Gen 1?

If none of this is possible, does this mean that one of the USB ports on my case will not work what-so-ever?

I am using the Corsair iCUE 5000X case and the Asus ROG Strix X570-E motherboard.

You're going to be fine as it should plug into the motherboard's header.
