can virus transfer from accessories?

Hey guys i just got this thought that can a computer virus transfer from accessories like mouse or keyboards?

I would like to say "not a chance" but I believe we see proof every day that anything is possible.

Okay then... im worried because some accesories have drivers to be installed when plugged in that they could bring in some viruses

Much less danger of this with mice/keyboards, vice USB flash drives.....
